Bryant Fulk - CEO
Prior to Wayfinder, Mr. Fulk was a Vice President in the Acquisition and Divestiture advisory practice at Wells Fargo Securities. While at Wells Fargo he assisted in the generation, analysis, and execution of more than ten transactions in excess of $6 billion in value. Mr. Fulk has technical experience executing transactions in Permian Basin, South Texas, Powder River Basin, East Texas/North Louisiana, and Appalachia.
Prior to Wells Fargo Mr. Fulk was an Earth Scientist and Project Manager at Chevron in their Mid-Continent Business Unit. He led several projects spanning asset development to exploration/appraisal wells to reservoir characterization initiatives. Before his time at Chevron, Mr. Fulk was a geologist at Chesapeake Energy where he worked their Eagle Ford assets.
Mr. Fulk currently serves as the Vice Chair of American Association of Petroleum Geologists’ Investment Committee. Mr. Fulk received his M.B.A. from Rice University, a M.S. in Geology from San Diego State University, and a BA in Geology with a concentration in Environmental Studies from Washington and Lee University.
Will Derrick - President & CFO
Prior to Wayfinder, Mr. Derrick founded Penny Resources which built a non-op leasehold position in the SCOOP STACK, ultimately selling to a private equity-backed company. He previously covered E&P companies as an Equity Research Analyst at SunTrust Robinson Humphrey, focusing on the Mid-Continent, Permian, Eagle Ford, and Appalachia. He has additional experience with Paloma Resources, J.P. Morgan, and Seaport Global.
Mr. Derrick earned his BBA from Millsaps College where he was defensive captain of the football team.
Ivan W. Pinney - COO
Prior to Wayfinder, Mr. Pinney spent the last 10 years at Chevron holding various positions in Mid-Continent business unit, San Joaquin Valley business unit, and Deep Water Exploration projects.
During his time at Mid-Continent business unit, he supervised a team of engineers as the team lead of Delaware basin to successfully drill and complete over 85 wells in the basin. Mr. Pinney initially led Chevron’s D&C exploration and appraisal efforts for the first horizontal unconventional wells in the Permian Basin ultimately leading to Chevron’s first development project in Delaware Basin. During his tenure as Delaware Basin team lead, he worked closely on several projects with Bryant Fulk.
Mr. Pinney holds an MBA from University of Houston-Downtown and a B.S. in Petroleum Engineering from Texas Tech University.
Prior to Wayfinder, Mr. Ali worked in the Acquisitions and Divestitures advisory practice at Wells Fargo Securities as their petroleum engineer & petrophysicist. While at Wells Fargo, he helped advise more than 80 private and public upstream and midstream companies which resulted in executing more than $8 billion in closed transactions.
Mr. Ali has technical and commercial experience executing transactions in Midland Basin, Delaware Basin, Powder River Basin, San Juan Basin, East Texas, North Louisiana, Appalachia and Eagle Ford. He has additional experience with Shell, Schlumberger and Texas A&M University.
Mr. Ali received Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees both in Petroleum Engineering from Texas A&M University where he served as the President of the Society of Petroleum Engineers at the time.
James Parker - Vice President of Land
Prior to Wayfinder, Mr. Parker spent seven years at Oasis Petroleum holding various positions, including the last four as Land Manager and played a large role in multiple large-scale acquisitions in the Williston and Permian Basins. Prior to Oasis, Mr. Parker was a Senior Landman with Texas American Resources Company and was responsible for land operations for Texas American’s Eagle Ford, Haynesville and Anadarko assets. Prior to Texas American, Mr. Parker held various staff Land positions at Burlington Resources.
Mr. Parker has over 15 years of experience in the oil and gas industry and has worked in multiple major regions in the United States, including Texas, New Mexico, Colorado, Wyoming, Utah, North Dakota and Montana. Mr. Parker holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Petroleum Land Management degree from Texas Tech University and is a Certified Professional Landman.
